The TeddyHolidays

Centered around brothers JT and Brendan Viele, the Teddy Holidays have been writing and performing original music for over a decade. Drawing influence from a wide array of sources — from the Beatles to the Rx Bandits — the music is progressive and melodic, complex but accessible.

We released the Arctic EP in 2010, followed by Penrose Steps EP in 2014. Both are on Bandcamp, Spotify, Soundcloud, and iTunes.

With an extensive rock-and-roll-centered repertoire, we keep guests dancing and entertained. Dozens of weddings and hundreds of shows over the last decade have made us a professional, fun, and affordable ensemble for your day.

The repertoire ranges from the Beatles and the Rolling Stones to Motown and Michael Jackson, all the way to Weezer and the Black Keys. With a little advance notice we are happy to learn a song especially for you — a first dance, a father-daughter dance, or something that simply means a lot to you.

We arrive fully self-sufficient, with all the sound and lighting equipment needed, so there is no P.A. to rent and no stage required. A quiet acoustic ensemble suits your ceremony, cocktail hour, or dinner; when the time is right we switch to a full rock band for the rest of the night.

Company parties, birthday bashes, graduation parties, track meets, bike races, film festivals, anniversaries, picnics, festivals, galas — you name it, we have probably played it.

Indoors or out, we can offer a full rock and roll cover band or an acoustic ensemble, along with all the necessary sound and lighting, at a price that works with your budget.

Everybody loves the Beatles, but nobody loves them quite like we do. They are our favorite band, our biggest influence, and covering their tunes is probably the thing we do best in this world. It does not hurt that their vocal ranges are roughly identical to ours.

We play over 60 Beatles songs and learn more all the time. We put together all-Beatles shows, and once performed Rubber Soul in its entirety — the show that convinced Minnesota Monthly to call us the best cover band in the Twin Cities.

We have played everywhere from the Triple Rock and 7th Street Entry to dive bars you have never heard of. Countless college bars, pubs, dives, classy joints and hotel bars have made us good at reading a room — adjusting volume and playlist to your acoustics and your crowd.

We come prepared, and will bring our own sound system and lighting on request.

We love to turn it up to 11, but plenty of rooms call for something quieter and more intimate. The acoustic ensemble lets you hear your favorite songs live without your ears ringing afterward.

It has worked in Irish pubs, on happy-hour patios, at graduation parties, wedding cocktail hours, company holiday parties, school picnics, and most everything in between.
